The Red Turtle

AnimationAnimeDramaFamilyFantasy81 min

A shipwrecked man washes up on a deserted tropical island, where crabs, birds, and sea turtles are his only company and every raft he builds is wrecked by a mysterious red turtle. Told without dialogue, the film follows the castaway through the major stages of his life as the island shifts from prison to home. Emmanuel Garijo and Tom Hudson are among the performers in a story shaped by movement, weather, and the constant push of the sea, with animation that keeps the landscape simple, bright, and exposed.
