Three magazine employees head out on an assignment after finding a classified ad from a man seeking a companion for time travel. Aubrey Plaza and Jake Johnson are among the staffers who track the ad to Kenneth, an eccentric supermarket clerk convinced he’s solved time travel and plans to leave again soon. As they stay with the story, the joke assignment gets stranger and more personal, balancing dry magazine-office skepticism with Kenneth’s paranoia, sincerity, and the possibility that he may not be bluffing.
