Any Given Sunday

Drama163 min

After the Miami Sharks lose their aging quarterback to injury, unknown third-stringer Willie Beamen suddenly becomes the face of the team. Al Pacino is coach Tony D'Amato, a veteran trying to hold together a slipping franchise while Jamie Foxx's Beamen brings celebrity, ego, and a jolt of new energy to the offense. Off the field, the team's new co-owner is pushing for wins and authority in a front office that doesn't make room easily. Directed by Oliver Stone, the film stays close to the collisions between players, coaches, money, media, and the brutal machinery of pro football.
