The Legend of Tarzan

ActionAdventureDramaFantasyRomance110 min

Alexander Skarsgård is John Clayton, years removed from life as Tarzan and settled into London society with his wife, Jane. When he’s asked to return to the Congo as a trade emissary, what looks like a diplomatic visit turns into an investigation of a mining encampment and the violence surrounding it. Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz) is at the center of the scheme, pulling Clayton back toward the jungle he left behind. The film moves between aristocratic London and the Congo, folding Tarzan’s old identity into a story of colonial power, ambushes, and survival.
