The Drop

CrimeDramaMysteryThriller106 min

Tom Hardy is Bob Saginowski, a Brooklyn bartender at a mafia-run bar who ends up at the center of a robbery gone wrong. The aftermath pulls Bob into an investigation that digs through the neighborhood’s past, where family ties, church, and organized crime all sit uncomfortably close together. Across from him, James Gandolfini carries the strain of a bar bound up with old loyalties and local power, as the fallout from the robbery starts exposing connections people would rather leave buried.
