A Bridge Too Far
DramaWar175 min
In late 1944, Allied commanders launch Operation Market Garden, a bold push through the Netherlands meant to seize a chain of bridges and open a route into Germany. As airborne drops and a ground assault get underway, bad intelligence, traffic jams, and stronger-than-expected German resistance begin to unravel the plan. Sean Connery's Maj. Gen. Roy Urquhart and Anthony Hopkins' Lt. Col. John Frost are among the officers and soldiers caught in the widening gap between strategy and reality, as the film moves from command decisions to the fighting around Arnhem.
