Roy Freeman, an ex-homicide detective with a fractured memory, is pulled back into a decade-old murder case he can barely remember when a man’s fate hangs on what Roy can recover. Russell Crowe is Roy, retracing old evidence, damaged recollections, and the people tied to the original investigation as buried secrets begin to point back toward his own past. What starts as a review of a brutal killing turns into a search through missing pieces, conflicting memories, and betrayals that never stayed buried, with Karen Gillan among the figures circling the reopened case.
