In 1964 Britain, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr spend a day being hustled from trains and hotel rooms to rehearsals and a live television appearance while fans, reporters, and handlers close in from every side. Richard Lester frames the band as cheeky comic versions of themselves, with Paul’s troublemaking grandfather (Wilfrid Brambell) adding one more problem to manage. Press conferences, backstage confusion, and a detour that leaves Ringo on his own turn the scramble toward showtime into a black-and-white snapshot of Beatlemania at full volume.
