In a very near future where cloned pets and livestock are routine but human copies are illegal, Arnold Schwarzenegger is Adam Gibson, a family man who comes home to find his life already occupied by a duplicate. Shut out from his family and targeted by assassins, Adam is forced underground as he tries to understand who replaced him and why. The trail leads into a secretive cloning operation with Tony Goldwyn's wealthy businessman near its center, turning Adam's fight for survival into a scramble to expose the people behind the cover-up.
