At a hotel internship in India, 21-year-old Dan drifts through shifts and downtime with his friends, often needling fellow intern Shiuli more than he should. When a sudden accident leaves her hospitalized and unresponsive, Varun Dhawan is Dan, a restless young man who becomes fixated on the small, unfinished connection between them. Banita Sandhu’s Shiuli is largely seen through the space she leaves behind, as Dan begins spending his days at the hospital and finds himself drawn into her family’s orbit. The film stays close to ordinary routines — work floors, waiting rooms, brief conversations — as that attachment slowly takes shape.
