The Hand of God

Drama130 min

In 1980s Naples, Fabietto is an awkward teenager adrift in a crowded family life when a freak stroke of fate tied to Diego Maradona spares him from catastrophe. Filippo Scotti is the watchful, uncertain Fabietto, taking in the city’s football fever, first sexual stirrings, and the sudden rupture that pushes him toward adulthood. Around him, Toni Servillo and Teresa Saponangelo shape a home full of humor, affection, and strain, where everyday rituals sit alongside loss and the question of what kind of future a boy like Fabietto can imagine.
