ActionAdventureFamilyFantasyWar112 min

On the shores of Loch Ness in 1940s Scotland, a lonely boy named Angus finds a strange egg that hatches into a creature out of local legend. Alex Etel is Angus, trying to care for his secret as the animal grows faster than he can hide it, while the war presses in around the loch. Emily Watson and Ben Chaplin are among the adults orbiting Angus's discovery, with soldiers, family tensions, and tightening secrecy complicating his bond with the mysterious newcomer. Scottish folklore and wartime life meet through a child's attempt to protect something no one else is prepared to believe.
