ActionAdventureDramaRomanceSci-FiThrillerWar101 min
Sent from New York to stay with relatives in the English countryside, withdrawn teenager Daisy begins to shed her defenses just as a widening conflict turns Britain upside down. Saoirse Ronan is Daisy, prickly and isolated at first, while George MacKay’s Edmund becomes her closest connection during a summer marked by quiet fields, tense news reports, and sudden upheaval. As war closes in and the family is scattered, Daisy has to navigate a landscape that shifts from refuge to survival.
