In April 1945, as Allied forces make their final push into Nazi Germany, Brad Pitt is Wardaddy, a battle-hardened sergeant commanding a Sherman tank and its five-man crew on a mission behind enemy lines. When a rookie soldier is abruptly folded into the unit, every order and every mile become harder to survive. Shia LaBeouf, Michael Peña, and Jon Bernthal are among the men packed inside the tank as the film stays close to the crew’s tight quarters, their shifting group dynamics, and the violence waiting beyond the armor.
