The Last Days on Mars

On the final day of the first manned mission to Mars, the crew at Tantalus Base are preparing to leave when one scientist claims he has found fossilized evidence of bacterial life. Determined not to let the incoming relief ship Aurora take the credit, he disobeys orders and heads back out for more samples, only for the excavation to collapse into disaster. As the team searches for him and another crew member vanishes, Liev Schreiber and Romola Garai are among the stranded scientists confronting the possibility that whatever they uncovered beneath the Martian surface was never truly dormant.
