The Sorcerer's Apprentice

ActionAdventureFamilyFantasy109 min

Balthazar Blake, a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan, recruits college student Dave Stutler when his fight with old enemy Maxim Horvath can no longer be handled alone. Nicolas Cage is Balthazar, a lone guardian trying to hold back dark forces, while Dave (Jay Baruchel) gets pulled into a crash course in spells, ancient rivalries, and the art-and-science logic of magic. Alfred Molina’s Horvath keeps the pressure on as the battle moves through New York City with enchanted objects, bursts of fire, and street-level mayhem, turning an ordinary student into an unwilling apprentice.
