The Knick

Drama54 min per episode

At a struggling New York hospital in the early 1900s, Dr. John W. Thackery pushes for surgical breakthroughs while the staff fights to keep patients alive with limited tools and uncertain science. Each case turns the operating room into a test of nerve, skill, and status, as new procedures promise progress but carry brutal risks. Inside the Knickerbocker, ambition and desperation shape every ward: doctors compete for influence, nurses and administrators hold the place together, and the hospital’s future depends on results no one can guarantee. As Thackery drives the work forward, the series follows medicine at a moment when discovery and disaster sit side by side.
