A Man Called Ove

ComedyDramaRomance116 min

Ove is a 59-year-old widower who patrols his Swedish housing complex like a one-man rules committee, even after being pushed out as president of the residents’ association. Rolf Lassgård’s Ove spends his days checking bins, policing parking, and sticking to old routines until a young family moves into the house opposite. When Parvaneh (Bahar Pars), pregnant and newly arrived, accidentally backs into his mailbox, the confrontation pulls this isolated neighbor into their noisy household. As their clashes turn into reluctant contact, the film fills in the losses behind Ove’s rigid manners and his iron attachment to order.
