The House That Jack Built
CrimeDramaHorrorThriller155 min
In late-1970s Washington, failed architect Jack recounts 12 years of murders as if he were presenting the work of a serious artist. Matt Dillon is Jack, a serial killer who narrates his crimes in flashback episodes, turning each act into an argument about craft, control, and beauty. As he talks, Bruno Ganz’s Verge listens and pushes back, giving Jack’s monologue the shape of a confession and a debate at once. Directed by Lars von Trier, the film stays inside Jack’s warped point of view, mixing obsessive rituals, philosophical detours, and graphic violence.
