Bringing Down the House
ComedyDrama105 min
Fresh off a divorce, attorney Peter Sanderson turns to online dating and thinks he’s finally met a smart, like-minded match. Instead, Steve Martin’s Peter opens the door to Charlene Morton, an escaped convict who says she was wrongly imprisoned and wants him to take her case. Queen Latifah brings the disruption as Charlene drops into Peter’s carefully ordered household, colliding with his work, his family, and the assumptions he carries with him. Eugene Levy and Jean Smart circle the chaos as Peter tries to keep his personal and professional life from coming apart.
