Lord of War

CrimeDramaThriller122 min

Yuri Orlov is a Ukrainian-American gun runner who turns the chaos around the fall of the Soviet Union into a booming international arms business. Nicolas Cage is Yuri, moving from New York deals to war zones and dictators’ entourages while trying to stay ahead of rivals, customers, and the law. Ethan Hawke’s Interpol agent keeps closing in, and Jared Leto appears as Yuri’s younger brother, pulled into the trade with him. As Yuri’s reach expands, the film follows the machinery of global trafficking alongside the strain it puts on his family life and his own sense of what he’s become.
