One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Drama133 min

After faking insanity to dodge prison, petty criminal Randle P. McMurphy lands in a state mental ward and starts pushing against its rigid rules. Jack Nicholson is McMurphy, swaggering into a room full of sedated routines and quickly becoming a disruptive rallying point for the other patients. Across from him is Louise Fletcher's Nurse Ratched, the soft-spoken authority who runs the ward through medication, meetings, and quiet intimidation. What begins as a con turns into a clash over control, dignity, and the narrow freedoms allowed inside the institution.
