Brian De Palma looks back on his career in a sustained conversation that traces his path from the New Hollywood era to films like Carrie, Blow Out, Scarface, The Untouchables, and Mission: Impossible. With Noah Baumbach and Jake Paltrow guiding the interview, De Palma recounts how projects came together, how he thinks about staging and suspense, and what it was like moving through decades of the film business.
