Tomorrow, When the War Began
ActionAdventureDramaRomanceSci-FiThrillerWar104 min
After a camping trip in the Australian bush, Ellie Linton returns to find her coastal hometown occupied by an invading army and the people she knows rounded up. Caitlin Stasey is Ellie, the teenager who pulls her friends together as they hide out, work out what happened, and try to stay ahead of soldiers who have started searching for them. Rachel Hurd-Wood and Lincoln Lewis are among the scattered group forced to improvise under pressure, with school friendships and crushes suddenly colliding with survival. Stuart Beattie keeps the invasion close to the teenagers’ point of view, turning familiar roads, farms, and bushland into contested ground.
