A documentary crew follows Nim, a shaman in Northern Thailand’s Isan region, as her family begins to suspect that her niece has inherited their goddess’s power. What starts as an intimate record of ritual and family history grows more disturbing when Mink’s behavior becomes harder to explain, and the family realizes the presence around her may have nothing to do with the deity they worship. Sawanee Utoomma’s Nim holds the center as relatives, villagers, and filmmakers crowd around the crisis, while Narilya Gulmongkolpech gives Mink a volatile, increasingly unsettling presence. Ceremonies, cramped family spaces, and the crew’s own footage shape the story as belief and possession pull in different directions.
