Poor young cobbler Wu Di is obsessed with martial-arts picture books and has no training of his own when he stumbles into the path of a wandering swordswoman. Shenyang Xiao is Wu Di, whose small act of bravery earns the gratitude of Yuelou, and Kelly Lin’s elusive fighter is secretly a runaway princess headed for Qin Mountain. Following after her, Wu Di runs into a wanted criminal, river pirates, and a hermit monk willing to take him on as a pupil. At the same time, Yuelou enters a martial-arts tournament while the emperor’s chief eunuch works behind the scenes to control the outcome.
