Rambo III

ActionAdventureThrillerWar102 min

After years of combat, John Rambo has retreated to a monastery, trying to leave violence behind. Sylvester Stallone is the war-weary veteran, pulled back in when Richard Crenna’s Col. Trautman asks for help with a covert mission to Afghanistan. Rambo turns him down, but when Trautman is captured, he heads into the middle of the conflict on a rescue mission that puts him up against the military force occupying the region. The film trades the survival stakes of the first movie for desert battlefields, heavy artillery, and a one-man assault carried out on a much larger stage.
