On a cross-country drive through the desert, a couple’s car breaks down, and what looks like a routine setback turns into something far worse. After his wife accepts a ride to a nearby diner with a passing trucker, Jeff is left stranded with the car — and when he finally catches up, no one admits to having seen her. As Jeff searches the back roads and truck stops around town, every answer leads to another lie, and his panic hardens into suspicion. Kurt Russell anchors the chase as a husband forced to piece together what happened and push into increasingly dangerous territory to get his wife back.
