Kurt Russell and William Baldwin are feuding brothers in a Chicago firefighting family, carrying on their father’s tradition while struggling to work side by side. When a string of arson attacks erupts across the city, the job becomes an investigation, forcing them to put their rivalry aside and follow a trail that reaches beyond the latest warehouse blaze or office explosion. Ron Howard directs, with Robert De Niro and Jennifer Jason Leigh among the ensemble, as the story moves between firehouse tensions, city corruption, and rescue scenes built around the destructive force they face on every call.
