Chopper

CrimeDramaThriller94 min

Mark “Chopper” Read is already a feared name in Australia’s underworld when prison stints, feuds, and sudden violence turn his life into a story he can’t stop retelling. Eric Bana is Chopper, a swaggering criminal whose own account of events keeps shifting between blunt confession, performance, and menace. Around him, figures from his past drift in and out, including Vince Colosimo’s Neville Bartos, a fellow underworld player caught in Chopper’s orbit. Moving through cells, back rooms, nightclubs, and the street, the film follows Read’s years of crime, drugs, and notoriety without separating the man from the myth he builds around himself.
