The Ice Harvest
ActionComedyCrimeDramaThriller92 min
On Christmas Eve in Wichita, shady lawyer Charlie Arglist thinks he’s about to disappear with a stash of mob money. John Cusack is Charlie, whose partner in the theft is Vic, a strip-club owner with plans of his own; Billy Bob Thornton’s Vic stays cool and unreadable as the deal starts to shift. What begins as a simple swindle turns into a long night of crossed signals, hidden agendas, and people who suddenly become dangerous. Connie Nielsen and Oliver Platt circle the story as Charlie tries to keep control of a scheme that gets messier with every stop.
