St. Elmo's Fire

ComedyDramaRomance110 min

Seven Georgetown friends are trying to hold onto their bond after college, but jobs, money, sex, and commitment start to pull the group apart around their regular haunt, St. Elmo’s, in Washington, D.C. Andrew McCarthy is Kevin, an aspiring writer whose feelings complicate an already tangled circle of friendships. Demi Moore’s Jules races through young-adult life with style and panic, while Leslie (Ally Sheedy) and Alec (Judd Nelson) watch their long relationship fray. Rob Lowe’s Billy, charming and unreliable, and Emilio Estevez’s Kirby, fixated on an older woman, round out a portrait of post-college drift in mid-1980s America.
