Death Proof

ActionAdventureDramaThriller127 min

Austin DJ Jungle Julia heads out for a night with friends Shanna and Arlene, while a scarred stuntman shadows them from his muscle car. Kurt Russell is Stuntman Mike, who says his specially modified vehicle is “death proof”; Sydney Tamiia Poitier’s Julia leads the night’s barhopping alongside Vanessa Ferlito and Jordan Ladd. Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, the film moves through bars, back roads, and long stretches of conversation before steering its car-chase setup toward slasher violence.
