The King of Staten Island

ComedyDrama137 min

Pete Davidson is Scott, a Staten Island slacker in his mid-20s whose life has barely moved since his firefighter father died when he was seven. He still lives with his overworked mother, an ER nurse played by Marisa Tomei, spends his days getting high with friends, and talks about becoming a tattoo artist without getting much closer to it. When his mother starts seeing Ray (Bill Burr), a blunt, old-school firefighter, Scott's stalled routine is thrown off balance. Judd Apatow's film follows a guy circling grief, family tension, and the first awkward steps toward adulthood.
