Twelve-year-old Sivanandhan spends his school holidays carrying banana stalks with his friend Sekhar, a job he dreads but can’t avoid as his family struggles to get by. What begins as routine labor turns into a close look at a boy trying to hold on to school, friendship, and a sense of direction while the pressures around him keep closing in. Phathmen and Kalaiyarasan are among the key figures in Sivanandhan’s world, alongside his mother and sister, as the film follows everyday work, family strain, and the hard edges of growing up under poverty.
