CrimeDramaThriller98 min

In mid-1990s Dublin, reporter Veronica Guerin starts tracing the city’s drug trade from street-level addicts to the men running it. Cate Blanchett is Guerin, an Irish journalist whose reporting pulls her toward uneasy meetings with informant John Traynor (Ciarán Hinds) and, eventually, the operation’s feared boss, John Gilligan. Drawn from a true story, the film follows how her investigation pushes beyond headlines and police briefings into the networks, intimidation, and public consequences surrounding the rise of the drug business in Ireland.
