Beethoven

ComedyDramaFamily87 min

Charles Grodin is George Newton, the suburban dad least thrilled when a stray puppy barrels into the family home. Bonnie Hunt’s Alice and the kids quickly adopt Beethoven, who grows from small houseguest into a massive St. Bernard with a habit of turning the Newtons’ orderly routine upside down. While the dog wins over nearly everyone in the house, the family’s trusted veterinarian, Dr. Varnick (Dean Jones), has a hidden agenda that puts Beethoven in danger. George’s irritation with the family pet starts to shift once the threat becomes clear.
