Invasion of the Body Snatchers

DramaHorrorSci-FiThriller80 min

In Santa Mira, California, Dr. Miles Bennell starts hearing the same unnerving claim from patient after patient: a husband, an uncle, a friend looks exactly the same, but somehow isn’t the same person anymore. Kevin McCarthy is Miles, the local doctor trying to make sense of a spreading pattern, while Dana Wynter’s Becky Driscoll becomes an ally as suspicion turns toward an extraterrestrial takeover. Don Siegel’s 1956 film moves from small-town unease to outright panic as the town’s residents are replaced by blank, emotionless doubles grown from mysterious seed pods.
