Caligula
Drama156 min
After the death of Emperor Tiberius, Malcolm McDowell is Caligula, the Roman heir who seizes the throne and sends the empire into a spiral of brutality, sexual spectacle, and political terror. The film follows his rise and fall inside a court ruled by paranoia and appetite, where family ties, marriages, punishments, and assassination plots blur together. Helen Mirren and Peter O'Toole are among the figures in Caligula's orbit as power turns the palace into a stage for cruelty, excess, and public humiliation. In 1st-century Rome, imperial rule is shown as both pageant and collapse.
