Battle Royale

ActionAdventureDramaThriller114 min

In a near-future Japan, a class of ninth-grade students is seized by the government, taken to a remote island, and ordered to kill one another under the Battle Royale Act. Tatsuya Fujiwara is one of the trapped classmates trying to resist the rules, with Aki Maeda beside him as another student caught between fear, loyalty, and survival. Each teenager is handed a random weapon and sent into the same shrinking battlefield, where old friendships, grudges, and panic turn the class against itself. Kinji Fukasaku stages the premise with school-uniform innocence colliding headfirst with state violence and escalating bloodshed.
