To Catch a Thief

ComedyCrimeDramaMysteryRomanceThriller107 min

Retired cat burglar John “The Cat” Robie is living quietly on the French Riviera when a new wave of jewel robberies puts the blame back on him. Cary Grant is Robie, forced to track down a copycat before the police do, while Grace Kelly’s Francie enters the picture as both possible ally and possible trap. Alfred Hitchcock places the chase among Riviera villas, rooftop prowls, hotel suites, and glittering parties, with Robie moving through a world of wealthy tourists and expensive jewels as he tries to clear the name he once built as a thief.
