In a towering prison where a slab of food descends level by level, the people at the top feast while everyone below faces hunger, violence, and a brutal wait for whatever scraps remain. Iván Massagué is among the inmates trapped inside the Vertical Self-Management Center, with Zorion Eguileor as another unsettling presence in a system that keeps turning deprivation into routine. As residents are shifted between floors, privilege and desperation can change overnight, and the shaft becomes a pressure cooker of survival, resentment, and the threat of open revolt.
