Vishwanathan seems like an unlikely mystery: a mild Kathak dance teacher in New York, devoted to his wife and far from danger. Kamal Haasan is the husband at the center of the story, while Pooja Kumar's Nirupama, a nuclear oncologist, has begun looking for a way out of their marriage and hires a private detective to follow him. What she learns turns private suspicion into something much larger, pulling the couple into a widening crisis tied to hidden identities, surveillance, and the threat of violence. Directed by Haasan, the film starts in domestic unease before opening into an international plot.
