DramaRomance122 min

During the Great Depression, veterinary student Jacob Jankowski leaves school and joins a traveling circus, where caring for the animals pulls him into the orbit of the show’s star performer, Marlena. Robert Pattinson is Jacob, an outsider finding his place among roustabouts, handlers, and big-top acts, while Reese Witherspoon’s Marlena shares a bond with him through a new elephant act. Their growing connection unfolds under the watch of Marlena’s husband, with Christoph Waltz bringing an unpredictable edge to the man who runs the circus and controls nearly everyone in it.
