The Get Down

DramaMusical58 min per episode

In the Bronx in the late 1970s, a group of teenagers come of age as disco fades, hip-hop begins to take shape, and the city around them feels neglected and on edge. Ezekiel wants a way out through his words, while his friends chase music, money, and a place to belong in neighborhoods shaped by poverty, gangs, and blackout-era unrest. As parties, street rivalries, and record deals pull them in different directions, their friendships are tested by ambition and survival. Through Ezekiel, Mylene, and a crew split between the church, the club, and the street corner, the series follows the messy birth of a new sound and the lives caught up in it.
