Irresistible

ComedyDrama102 min

A Democratic campaign strategist heads to a conservative Wisconsin town after spotting a retired Marine colonel speaking up at a local meeting and decides he’s found an unlikely mayoral candidate. Steve Carell is Gary, a party operative convinced this small race could shift the national map, while Chris Cooper’s Jack Hastings is suddenly pulled from hometown concerns into consultants, donors, and nonstop media attention. What begins as a local campaign turns into a broader political spectacle, with party machinery, cable-news spin, and small-town skepticism crowding in from every side.
