In China They Eat Dogs

ActionAdventureComedyCrime91 min

Arvid is an ordinary bank clerk whose quiet life with his girlfriend is thrown off course when he manages to stop a robbery at the bank where he works. Kim Bodnia is Arvid, a mild, unassuming man suddenly dealing with the fallout from one impulsive act, while Dejan Cukic figures into the criminal world closing in around him. From there, the film pushes its bank-heist setup into darker, stranger territory, mixing Danish deadpan with bursts of violence, underworld scheming, and jokes that keep turning on the gap between Arvid’s everyday life and the chaos now surrounding him.
