Red Cliff II

ActionAdventureDramaFantasyWar142 min

In 3rd-century China, the battle at Red Cliff enters a critical stage as the alliance between Xu and East Wu begins to crack under Cao Cao’s advancing forces. Tony Leung Chiu-wai and Takeshi Kaneshiro lead the ensemble of strategists and commanders trying to hold that coalition together while preparing for a much larger assault. John Woo continues the conflict on a grand scale, keeping the focus on military planning, political strain, and the growing pressure on two kingdoms facing an enemy at their doorstep. As the war intensifies, survival depends as much on unity as it does on the battlefield.
