Joint Security Area
ActionAdventureCrimeDramaMysteryThrillerWar110 min
After two North Korean soldiers are killed inside the Joint Security Area of the Korean DMZ, a neutral inquiry team is sent in to determine what happened. Lee Yeong-ae is the Swiss-Korean investigator assigned to the case, piecing together conflicting accounts from both sides of the border as the official version begins to fracture. With Lee Byung-hun and Song Kang-ho among the soldiers drawn into the shooting, Park Chan-wook builds the story around military procedure, divided loyalties, and the tense routines of life in a place where a single incident can carry political consequences far beyond the checkpoint.
