Olivier Gruner is a graduate student and martial-arts expert who rents a room in a single mother’s house just as a local street gang starts closing in on her son. Theresa Saldana’s mother is trying to keep the boy from being pulled in, and her new tenant steps forward when the gang’s pressure turns violent. That puts both of them directly in the gang’s sights, turning a simple living arrangement into a street-level fight over one family’s safety, with kickboxing and neighborhood crime driving the action.
